  1. It's embarrassing to admit that most of Taiwanese tend to be late for all kinds of events. For example, if the wedding is start at 7:00 pm, guests will arrive at around 7:30 pm.

    Western culture is considered as a powerful culture in Taiwan. Therefore western influence is common here. From food to behavior, you may find much similarity.

  2. Not all of Taiwanese are used to being late,but for elder people,they thinks that being late can show their social status.

    In globalized Taiwan,no matter food,clothes,political system,talk shows on TV or even other things, we can apparently see the influence of westeren culture. Meanwhile, Taiwan still has its own tradition. Actually, we can say we combine two kinds of culture together.

    吃喜酒比较特别,因为喜酒通常都会比较晚开始,所以迟到10-30分钟的都有;
    如果是朋友约的话,迟到5-10分钟都还可以接受;
    但是,如果是跟老师或是长辈约的话,迟到就很不礼貌了!!!
    这时候,通常都会提早5-10分钟到。
    这跟你们很不一样吗?
